Things to prepare
What to wear
Choose a colour palette that complements one another — soft neutrals, muted tones, or earthy hues photograph beautifully together. Avoid busy prints, bold logos, or clashing colours. You don't need to match exactly — coordinated is always more natural and relaxed than identical.
The day before
Rest well, stay hydrated, and have everyone's outfits laid out and ready. If little ones are joining, a good night's sleep makes a big difference in how settled and happy they'll be during the session.
On the day
Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early so your little one has time to settle into the new environment before we begin. Have a light meal beforehand — just enough to keep everyone happy and comfortable, without the post-lunch bloat showing up in the photos.

Frequently Asked Questions
Simply add your preferred session to cart and proceed to checkout. A $100 deposit is required to confirm your booking — the remaining balance is due 3 weeks before your session date. For bookings less than 1 month before the session, full payment will be required to confirm your booking. Once your deposit is received, we'll be in touch to arrange your session date and time.
Yes, rescheduling is allowed. Kindly inform us at least 48 hours prior to the session. Rescheduling to Sundays or Public Holidays will require an additional fee of $80.

The session will be held at Joie by Joyours, 318 Tanglin Road Phoenix Park. The location is accessible by both bus and car, with parking slots available on site.
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date, especially if you have a specific week in mind during your pregnancy. Popular slots can fill up quickly, so it's best not to leave it too close to your ideal shoot window of 28 to 36 weeks.
Both — and everything in between. We don't believe family photography has to be stiff or posed. Msan Collective's approach is relaxed and natural, capturing the genuine moments between you — the laughter, the quiet glances, and the little in-between moments that make your family uniquely yours. Of course, if you'd like some classic, more formal portraits too, we'll make sure to get those as well.
You won't be left to figure it out on your own. Our photographer will guide you through every pose naturally — their approach is relaxed and conversational, so you'll barely feel like you're posing at all. The goal is always to capture you as you are, not how you think you should look in a photograph.
Yes — we recommend coming in outfits that feel like your family. Pieces you love, feel comfortable in, and that reflect who you are together. Do coordinate your outfits as a group — choose a colour palette that complements one another rather than matching exactly. It makes a big difference in how the final photos come together. Our photographer is happy to advise on what works best over WhatsApp before your session.
We recommend that everyone joining the session comes looking and feeling their best — a light, natural look for all goes a long way in ensuring the photos look cohesive and polished. If you'd like professional makeup for the whole group, our MUA is available as an add-on. Simply let us know after booking and we'll help arrange it.
Of course — personal touches make your photographs uniquely yours. Whether it's a pair of baby shoes, a meaningful keepsake, or a favourite blanket, you're welcome to bring along anything that holds significance to your family. Just let our photographer know in advance over WhatsApp so she can plan how to incorporate them beautifully into your session.
The standard package covers up to 4 persons. Please take note there will be additional charges.
We love a furry family member in the frame — pets are welcome at the studio. Do let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly. Please ensure your pet is clean, calm, and on a leash or in a carrier when arriving at the studio. Do note that while we'll do our best to include your pet, they may not appear in all photos depending on their comfort level during the session.
Our turnaround time is 3–4 weeks. This allows us to carefully select and edit each image, ensuring consistent quality throughout your gallery. If you need your photos sooner, a rush option is available at $100 for a 5 days turnaround after shoot date.
Every session goes through a careful culling and editing process. This means we select the strongest images and remove those that do not meet our delivery standards, such as blurred shots, closed eyes, test shots, duplicates, or otherwise unflattering images.
The number of images delivered varies depending on the session type, the flow of the session, and factors such as your baby's or child's comfort and cooperation. The estimated number of images included will always be stated in the package details.
Our focus is always on quality over quantity. Every delivered image is thoughtfully selected and professionally edited to ensure you receive the very best moments from your session.
Rest assured that we aim to return all good images captured during your session, including candid moments. Once your gallery is ready, you can choose the images that resonate most with you.
If your package includes a maximum number of delivered images and there are additional photographs that still meet our delivery standards, you may request to purchase extra images. We will first provide a proof gallery of the available images for your selection. Once you have made your choices, the additional images will be edited and uploaded to your gallery within 1–2 weeks.
For example, if your package includes 50 edited images and you would like to purchase 10 additional images, you may select 10 images from the proof gallery. These 10 images will then be edited and delivered, bringing your total gallery to 60 edited images.
We don’t provide RAW files as they are unprocessed and don’t reflect our final quality and style. We deliver all the best edited images from your session, including candid in between moments. Once your gallery is ready, you can take your time to go through it and choose the photos that resonate most with you.
Yes — beyond our studio at Joyours, we also offer outdoor and home sessions at the same package price. Simply select your preferred location when adding to cart, and we'll be in touch to coordinate the details with you.
